Movies, Books and Football
But I didn't stay indoors the ENTIRE weekend.
Mike dragged me out on Sunday afternoon to go see Sicko at the Alamo Drafthouse. I'm so glad he did this because it's been years since I've been to the drafthouse and I had forgotten what a blast you can have there. We had the best cheeseburgers, fries and beer while watching a movie on healthcare (oh the irony!)
Check out the "Signature Events" on their website here: http://www.originalalamo.com/default.aspx?l=4
Oh and check out the Safety Instructional video shown before every movie - LOL: http://youtube.com/watch?v=V-bcHA06zw0
THEN, I was hunting for some Cowboy tickets. I haven't found any at Texas Stadium YET, but I got tix to the pre-season game with the Houston Texans in Houston next month. Yeah, I know - it doesn't count and who cares. Well I do because in all my sport-loving life, I have NEVER been to an official NFL game. I've seen all the other games (NHL, MLB, NBA, MLS) But never NFL! And as if I would go see the Redskins in DC (Pfft!) So I waited until I was back home sweet home to see a Texas team on Texas soil.
So yes, I'm ready for some football...
