Guilty pleasures...

I have a confession....I watch reality TV. And not just the good stuff such as Survivor, but the cheesy, absolute mindless fluff such as Dancing with the Stars and Skating with Celebrities. I know! How COULD I?! This evening I found myself doing some serious channel switching between 9pm-10pm watching the final dance-offs and "skate-offs." It sounds absolutely silly, but it made for enthralling TV. Perhaps I am opting for these kinds of shows because my brain is so fried after work, that it doesn't want to be used after quitting time and thus, opts for sheer entertainment value. However, if I start to think Fear Factor qualifies as "enthralling" television, somebody please shoot me.

How quickly it fades..

This is the scene this afternoon from my balcony - what a difference from the previous picture! The sun came out and melted most of the snow. The roads were also completely clear so we were able to be out and about today. Oh well, it was a nice diversion for a few hours. I hope my Boston friends are okay! They're expecting over a foot of snow.

Let it snow, let it snow..

Here is a scene from our balconey. So. as you can see, it is currently snowing now. And I am here at home on a Saturday night drinking Pineapple Malibus, and rum & diet pepsi while creating a marketing plan. It will be the best marketing planI have EVER created since I am so relaxed. I have on the Gonzaga/Stanford game. I swear to God I feel like such a guy sometimes since Miguel could care less about sports. Whereas I subscribe to Sports Illustrated and go to as many games as possible. It's okay, though, because it all balances out in the end. :)
On Thursday night, I met up with a girlfriend for dinner. Then I realized that I would miss Survivor, Earl and The Office. So I set up our VCR (yes the ancient technology) to at least record Survivor and resigned myself to miss the other two since they were on another channel. But Miguel came through for me and recorded Earl and The Office for me - even without me instructing him. I was pleasantly surprised!
Oh going back to sports, I managed to snag $10 tickets to see the Wizards play the Pistons next month. I am psyched. Even though the Pistons have cost me some money each time they play my Spurs, I respect them and look forward to seeing the Fro in person. Plus, the Wizards seem to be on a winning streak lately, so it should be a good game.
GMU won the homecoming game! I sometimes miss engineering the basketball games like I used to do for radio. Maybe when I get more settled into the marketing thing, I'll go back to doing stuff like that on the side.
MMM, I'm craving Taco Bell now...bye
