You might...know of...the original sin...

Yeah "Original Sin" was one of the the first songs I heard from INXS back in the day. Well they were in DC on May 2nd and what started off as a normal concert experience turned into a surreal evening! I got to meet three of the guys from the band (no not Jon or Tim Farriss, nor JD the new singer). But I met Kirk, Gary and Andrew. In fact, my girlfriends & I spent most of our time chatting with Andrew - and it was so cool for many reasons: #1 because he's the main songwriter of the group; #2 he's usually the most private one; #3 he told us some Michael Hutchence stories. Anyway, it was a great experience and one I will remember for a long time....So I'm finally planning the summer vacation. We'll be doing the Usual - which involves Texas and Arkansas - during the 4th of July week. I can't wait to see mi familia! It's getting harder & harder to be apart from them. I think one day I will just pack my bags and move back to Texas. The only thing that I'm worried about is leaving the girls for that long. We'll be gone for almost 12 days - which is the longest I've been apart from them. Sure, we have a good pet-sitter. But they will wonder where we are and the little one will probably think I've abandoned her! (She's my shadow -basically follows me everywhere). I know I'm silly to be fretting this much over a couple of cats, but seriously, these are my GIRLS and so much more than just mere pets. Geez, if I am like this with my pets, how the hell am I going to be when it's my KIDS? I will have to rely on my girlfriends who are already mommies for some words of wisdom...

Familia is the key! They are the best link to your past, and most likely to be there in the future (last sentence from a song... 10 points if you can identify it).

Speaking of Texas, how 'bout them Spurs!

WELL, those Spurs are on the brink of elimination thanks to those damn Mavericks! And also because they keep making little mistakes that end up being costly. They could have won the last three games. All games were down to the last minute. Let us hope they survive the next game in SA - hopefully home court advantage will help them!
