Movies and Semi-Celebrity sightings

So on Friday night, I go to Oya's in DC with some former co-workers of mine. We end up having an AMAZING time. And, we had a celebrity (sort of) sitting at the table next to us. Remember the guy who gave Donald Trump the "crazy-eyed" look when he was fired on The Apprentice? Well, he was there with his wife meeting up with some friends. Anyway, the apple martinis flowed, we buzzed, and ended up talking about every topic under the sun - including reality TV and sex after marriage. It's amazing we didn't get a crazy-eyed stare from former Apprentice contestant.

Then the rest of the weekend was cool. Mike & I saw Snakes on a Plane. It was actually better than I expected. It had a semi-plot to it, so it wasn't just random gore. Plus, the acting wasn't as bad as other B-movie, cheesy flicks (see Swamp Thing). The bonus was having Samuel L. Jackson yell what I'm sure will be the catch-phrase from the flick "I am sick of these mother****ing snakes!!!" And he says it in the same Pulp Fiction yell too! Oh, here is a FUN-ny and random comic strip about Snakes on a Plane from the Washington City Paper. It cracked me up.

Then we saw two Netflix films: Transamerica aned Hustle & Flow.

I am bummed that I missed the Rollins Band show last week. :(

That's about it. Except for random thoughts:

What up with the Bosox?

I know it's only pre-season, but my 'Boys looked pretty good against the Saints tonight. And yes, I'm ready for some football.

Snakes on a Plane... why does Samuel L. Jackson do all this lame movies! Is he in need of some money?!?!?
